Congratulations to the 2024 Homecoming Court! The King will be announced on Thursday, 10/17, and the Queen on Friday, 10/18.

Sixteen seniors have been selected for the 2024 Lampeter-Strasburg High School Homecoming Court. Students will vote for the king and queen this week at school. The king will be announced and crowned at halftime of the Powder Puff Football Game on Thursday, October 17, and the queen will be crowned at halftime of the homecoming game on Friday, October 18. The pair will reign at the homecoming dance on Saturday, October 19. Best of luck to all!

Chloe Beatty

Chloe Beatty is the daughter of Rebecca and Earl Berry of Lancaster. Chloe is a member of the Scrubs Club, Interact Club, Mock Trial, Ski and Snowboard Club, STEM Club, and Art Club. She is also a member of the field hockey team. Outside of school, Chloe works as a lifeguard at the YMCA and Willow Valley Communities. Chloe plans to attend a four-year college to pursue a career in architecture. 

 

Aleah Bruner 

Aleah Bruner is the daughter of Keith and Gemma Bruner of Lancaster. Aleah is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Students. She also participates in both winter and spring track. Outside of school, Aleah goes to services and youth groups at Willow Street Methodist Church. Aleah plans to attend college to pursue a major in elementary education.  

 

Chloe Bucher

Chloe Bucher is the daughter of Coley and Lori Bucher of Lancaster. Chloe is the treasurer of the Varsity Club and a member of the girls’ soccer team. Outside of school, Chloe plays club soccer for Pennsylvania Classics. She is undecided about her major and plans to attend West Chester University to continue her soccer career. 

 

Kyleigh Herr

Kyleigh Herr is the daughter of Chad and Megan Herr of Willow Street. Kyleigh is a member of the Mini-THON committee, Varsity Club, Sisterhood Club, and the High School Heroes program. She is also a member of the girls’ tennis team and the winter and spring track teams. Outside of school, Kyleigh works two jobs at Willow Valley Communities. Kyleigh plans to attend a four-year college to major in criminal justice. 

 

Chloe Meck

Chloe Meck is the daughter of Rob and Shannon Meck of Strasburg. Chloe is a member of the Interact and Varsity clubs and is a fourth-year varsity member of the girls’ softball team. Outside of school, Chloe is actively involved at Strasburg Mennonite Church and the church's youth group, Young Life, and works at her family business, Meck’s Produce. Chloe is not entirely sure what her plans will look like after graduation, but she is excited and looking forward to seeing what God has in store for her in the coming years! 

 

Megan Platt

Megan Platt is the daughter of Bill and Joanne Platt of Lancaster. Megan is a member of the Varsity Club, Mini-THON committee, and the Interact Club. Megan plays for a club volleyball team outside of school and volunteers at Grace Community Church. She also participates in the Lampeter Fire Company chicken barbeque and is employed at Sight & Sound Theater. Megan is committed to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to play Division I volleyball and major in exercise science. 

 

Chloe Stone

Chloe Stone is the daughter of Jennifer and Stephen Stone of Lancaster. Chloe is a member of the Mini-THON committee, Student Council, Varsity Club, Link Crew, Mock Trial Club, and the High School Heroes program. Chloe is a girls’ volleyball team member and was a West Lampeter Fair Queen candidate. Outside of school, Chloe enjoys babysitting, playing club volleyball, and participating in the Young Life program. Chloe plans to attend a four-year college to study criminal justice and psychology. 

 

Mackenzie Westerlund

Mackenzie Westerlund is the daughter of Chuck and Ellen Westerlund of Willow Street. Mackenzie is a member of the National Honor Society, a Link Crew Leader, Vice President of the Student Council, a High School Hero, an Interclub Council representative, and the West Lampeter Community Fair Queen Alternate. Outside of school, Mackenzie is employed at Willow Valley Retirement Communities. Mackenzie plans to attend a four-year university and major in nursing. From there, she plans to become a nurse practitioner.

James Appelgrijn

James Appelgrijn is the son of Rhiannon Appelgrijn and Coenraad Appelgrijn of Strasburg. James is a member of the National Honors Society, Drama Club, Tri-M Music Honors Society, High School Heroes, Interact Club, Fellowship of Christian Students, Pioneer Page Turners, Concert Choir, Madrigals, International Thespian Society, and the WLSH morning announcements crew. Outside of school, he is part of the tech crew and praise team at Ephrata First Church. James is considering Pennsylvania State University and Millersville University and plans to major in English education with a minor in film. 

 

Thad Book

Thad Book is the son of Gary and Julie Book of Willow Street. Thad is the co-secretary of the Varsity Club, and a member of the golf and boys’ basketball teams. Outside of school, Thad enjoys golfing, spending time with friends, and working at Meadia Heights Golf Club. While he is undecided about his major, Thad plans to attend college and continue his golf career.

 

Emory Fluhr

Emory Fluhr is the son of Micheal Fluhr and Rochelle Fluhr of Lampeter. Emory is a member of the National Honor Society and the boys’ football and basketball teams. Emory plans to attend a four-year college. 

 

Sam Groff

Sam Groff is the son of Ryan and Denean Groff of Strasburg. Sam is a member of the boys’ lacrosse team. Sam plans to earn an associate's degree in the electrical field through a local trade program. 
 

Caileb Howse

Caileb Howse is the son of Katie Howse of Strasburg. He is a member of the Interact Club, Varsity Club, and the football team. Outside of school, Caileb is involved in his church’s youth group and the Young Life program. Caileb plans to continue his football career in college and major in engineering. 

 

Chase Lauver

Chase Lauver is the son of Chad and Jen Lauver. Chase is a member of the boys' soccer team and works outside of school. Chase plans to pursue a career in welding after high school. 

 

Danny Weichler

Danny Weichler is the son of Chris Weichler and Dawn Pearce of Willow Street. Danny is the Senior Class Secretary and a member of the Mini-Thon Committee and Student Council. Danny plans to attend college to pursue a career in engineering. 

 

Carson Zook

Carson Zook is the son of Randy and Lori Zook of Willow Street. Carson is the National Honor Society Secretary, Senior Class Treasurer, and a member of the Orchestra, Jazz Band, Pit Orchestra, Modern Band, STEM Club, Student Council, and the Chief Science Officers program. Carson is a captain of the football team and a part of the track and field team. Outside of school, Carson participates in his church’s youth group and church worship team. He plans to attend college to play football and study mechanical or aerospace engineering.
